Guendulain Palace 4*

Built in the 18th century by D. Sebastian de Eslava, Viceroy of New Granada (1685 – 1759), Palacio Guendulain is one of the most prominent buildings in Pamplona, located in the old part of town.

After serving as a family residence for over two centuries – in 1845 Queen Isabel II stayed in the Palace with her entourage converting the house into a royal residence for a few days – Palacio Guendulain reopens as a magnificent hotel with 25 bedrooms and suites overlooking the Consejo Square and the Palace’s inner courtyard.

Golf Courses

Ulzama Golf Club – Castillo de Gorráiz Golf

Ulzama Golf Club

The club is located right in the valley of Ulzama, set in an ancient oak forest and about 24 kilometres from
Pamplona. This presence of oaks, draws the path of the track itself representing the main challenge and
difficulty for players. Starting with more technical 9 first holes, the player must find the fairway to be able to
score. The second 9 holes, with wider fairways eases the game to hitters.

Castillo de Gorráiz Golf

This course has a modern design, with a drainage system to enable play all year round. It has tees with
large platforms, fairways of varying widths, and broad and gently sloping greens. Three large lakes provide
an attractive landscape feature and offer a challenge to players at several holes.

The feria of San Fermín is celebrated from 6 to 14 july each year. Visitors pour in, doubling the town´s population, to see the great evening bullfights and enjoy the carefree atmosphere. the most spectacular event, an the most prized by “Pamploneses”, however, is the encierro or early morning running of bulls. The animals selected to fight in the evening are let loose with a number of steers to rush through the streets along a set route leading to the bullring.

Olite Palace

The castle-palace of Olite was the residence of the kings and queens of the kingdom of Navarre until its union with Castile in the 16th century. It was declared a National Monument in 1925.
During the 13th-15th centuries it underwent several transformations, although the most important developments took place at the time of King Charles III the Noble. The Old Palace is now converted into a Parador

Pagos de Araiz Winery

araiz-insideThe Masaveu family acquired the estate in 2000 and created an edgy and special wine cellar. This is a wine

Bullfightng School

We will head to Rada, a village 60 km south of Pamplona location of the Bullfighting School of Navarre founded in 1985 by Manolo Reyes.
Manolo de los Reyes, owner and director, who was torero between 1970 and 1990, will welcome us.
Before beginning our guided tour of the school we will enjoy some traditional food.
After the visit, we will be part of an exhibition of bullfighting games in the bullring. The bullfighting games consists in trying to perform the movements of the torero but without the presence of the bull and using the various elements used in bullfighting .
After this entertaining activity we will visit the bulls in their natural habitat. Followed by a meal of traditional Navarre cuisine accompanied by local wine.
