he course measures 6,122 in length and has 18 holes. The initial layout underwent a redesign in 2000, carried out by prestigious architect José Gancedo. The remodelling respected the oak wood and the indigenous forest of ash and holm oak. Tees, greens and bunkers were modified and lakes were created at holes 1, 2, and 4, resulting in the par for the course being set at 71 strokes.
The current layout is a more open space, surrounded by the natural amphitheatre formed by the mountain range, crowned by the summits of Abantos, San Benito and Las Machotas. You’ll be accompanied by views of the spectacular El Escorial monastery for most of the track.
